Comfort Food Gets a Farm-Fresh Upgrade

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 3 Nutrafarms Farmer’s Sausages (casings removed)
- 300g cavatappi noodles (approx. 3 cups dry)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Cayenne pepper, to taste
- Chili flakes, to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

🍳 Instructions
1. Boil Your Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cavatappi until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta water before draining.
2. Cook the Sausage
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Remove sausage casings and crumble the meat into the pan.
- Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of cayenne.
3. Add Aromatics
Stir in chopped onions and cook until softened (3–4 minutes). Add minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Add Mushrooms & Tomato Paste
Add mushrooms and cook for 2–3 minutes. Stir in tomato paste and a pinch of chili flakes. Let it cook for 2 more minutes to deepen the flavour.
5. Make It Creamy
Lower the heat and pour in heavy cream. Add pasta water and grated parmesan. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
6. Bring It All Together
Toss the cooked pasta directly into the sauce and coat well. Alternatively, plate the pasta and spoon the sauce over top.
7. Finish & Serve
Top with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy the farm-to-table comfort.
