If you’ve never paired creamy sausage hash with maple-sweetened mashed sweet potatoes before… you're about to fall in love.

🥔 Ingredients:

For the Sweet Potato Mash:

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, diced

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

  • Bacon bits (optional)

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • A dash of coconut milk (or table cream)

  • Dried chives (to taste)

  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

For the Creamy Sausage Hash:

  • Nutrafarms Farmers Sausage (sliced or whole)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic (or 1 tsp garlic paste)
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon (or 1 tsp soup base)
  • ¾ cup coconut milk (or table cream)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • Parmesan (optional, to taste)
  • Chili flakes (to taste)
  • Dried chives (to taste)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Make the Sweet Potato Mash

Fry the diced sweet potatoes in a skillet over medium heat until fork-tender and crispy on the edges. Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper. Add maple syrup and bacon bits (if using).

Remove from heat and mash with butter, a dash of coconut milk, and dried chives. Mash until smooth or leave it chunky — you do you.

2. Cook the Farmers Sausage

In the same pan, add your Nutrafarms Farmers Sausage. Season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt & pepper.

Brown the sausage on both sides, then remove from the pan and set aside — don’t ditch those golden juices!

3. Make the Creamy Sauce Base

Toss diced onions into the same pan and sauté until soft. Add garlic and tomato, cooking until it becomes saucy and jammy.

Stir in the chicken bouillon and deglaze the pan with coconut milk. Add chili flakes, chives, cream cheese, and Parmesan if desired. Stir gently until the sauce becomes silky smooth.

4. Finish & Plate

Return the sausage and any reserved juices to the sauce. Cover and simmer on low for about 7 minutes to let the flavours meld.

Spoon the sweet potato mash onto a plate and top with that creamy sausage hash. Pour that rich sauce right overtop. Serve warm and prepare to impress.
