Instructions

1. Prep the wings

Preheat your oven to 390°F. Add the chicken wings to a large bowl with the light soy sauce, crushed garlic, salt and pepper. Mix until evenly coated.

2. Add the cornstarch

Sprinkle 20g of cornstarch over the wings and toss well, making sure each wing gets a light, even coating. This helps give the wings that crispy exterior without deep frying.

3. Bake

Arrange the wings in a single layer on a lined baking sheet or, for even better airflow, on a wire rack set over a baking sheet.

Bake at 390°F for approximately 28 minutes, flipping halfway through. Continue cooking until the wings are browned and crispy and have reached a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

4. Make the honey garlic sauce

While the wings are cooking, melt 1 tbsp of light butter in a pan over medium-low heat.

Add the finely chopped garlic and cook until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add 30 mL of light soy sauce followed by 45 mL of honey. Stir and allow the sauce to gently simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Toss & serve

Once the wings are fully cooked, add them to the honey garlic sauce and toss until every wing is coated.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Why We Love This One

Instead of deep frying, these wings are oven-baked with a light cornstarch coating to get that crispy finish without adding additional frying oil.

They’re also portioned into two servings and made with a simple homemade honey garlic sauce, so you know exactly what’s going into your meal.

Pair your wings with a big salad, roasted vegetables or another fibre-rich side for a more balanced meal.

Resolution Ready is all about making the foods you already love work for your goals — no boring meals required.
